Good afternoon! Firstly, today I've been hard @ work plodding 2579 steps (ha, I'm just over 2.5 grand XD); secondly, John Piper's daily devotional topic from last night's 'Grace Denied And Supplied'; thirdly, TWFT topic's "Each Day Of Your Life's A Gift' and fourthly, Our Daily Bread's devotional topic's 'Small And Mighty'. Anyways, events for today?
- Yay, 8th consecutive awesome sleep last night! Nature didn't call until 6:10am and after one pot :P trip, I spend ten minutes beginning a mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel, asking him please to help me with the patience, perseverance, strength and endurance I need to get through today with, giving PIG mum all the pleasure, all the satisfaction and just suffering for her whenever she decided that only she can be happy and/or satisfied. It doesn't sound very fair, but she's taught me through her actions, if not through her words, that it's enough she's happy and/or satisfied, and I guess whenever that happens, I've just got to grit my teeth and endure. >< *sigh*
- Nature called again about one hour later, just before PIG mum begins her daily noisy a-THUMPING around upstairs. Soon, she's let herself into my room to hit me with the eye goo before going outside and awaiting the carer's arrival @ 8am.
- It's Mia! She identifies herself after knocking, opening the bedroom door and bidding me good morning before saying fifteen more minutes.
- When Mia comes back, I use the pot :P once more for three tinkles while we catch each other up on what's been happening over Christmas.
- We get me kitted; I head over to the bathroom and brush teeth. That done, I sit over the loo for one tinkle, wash and dry Era then head out to the gobbling :P table with Mia.
- Breakfast is one bowl of healthy cereal (one/two plain - no honey - Weetbix and a very light sprinkling of Plus - with all my usual drugs :P and one full cup of water. I asked Mia to please turn on Sunrise for me and PIG mum immediately says she'll do it; lol, she only ever does when the carer's around and can see her! I've learnt don't bother asking unless she's present. XD Over breakfast, I spent another ten minutes continuing my mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel, asking him please to help me get through today okay. I find it's exceedingly important to constantly remind the cruel and unfaithful God that He has no bearing on my good day whatsoever, that I am perfectly capable of having a good day without Him, despite Him and apart from Him, because my good day's dependent on my own good attitude. If only God would remember that ... *sigh* He created the phrase 'live and let live', so why the heck can't He lemme live the free, independent life that I deserve? Okay, fair enough, we all only deserve death because of Him, but why can't He just lemme live the life that nearly everyone else gets to live?? *sigh*
- After breakfast, Mia slathers my face and both arms/hands with sunscreen then follows me back to the bathroom before returning to the bathroom and washing up the breakfast dishes. Over the loo, I do a stinky unspeakable, also leaning fully against the side rail and finishing my mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel. Remember, however the cruel and unfaithful God tries to make my day bad for me, I won't let that affect me because my good day has NOTHING to do with Him; I'm perfectly capable of having a good day without Him, despite Him and apart from Him. See, my good day's dependent on my own good attitude!
- After washing and drying Era I climb into the passenger seat of Nia's car, and she tootles me off for the first GCCW for 2026! Thanks to her who kindly helped me buckle my seatbelt both ways.
- Upon arrival, I'm still sitting in my seat and am just about to unbuckle my seatbelt when Rob and Avis walk past Mia's car! Rob enthusiastically waves @ me; I enthusiastically wave back. XD
- After visiting the loo for one tinkle, I enter Meeting Room One. Nine attend today, Tammy helps me once to the bathroom for morning tea (called @ 10:43am and finished @ 11:19am) and Ken's so happy talking with Mary today that I'm not given the time to share my homework! XD I thought our next homework subject's 'the takeover'; Googling that phrase I plan to write about Google's takeover of Whatsapp! Also, the meeting next fortnight will end fifteen minutes earlier since someone else has booked the meeting room; I've asked PIG mum can I please grab an early lunch from Ho Lin Wah?
- Less than thirty minutes left, so just super-briefly:
- Came home for shower - hairwash today. Also thanks to Mia who helped me rinse out my hair, thus freeing Era to hold my stupid right eye tightly shut.
- Dried, creamed and rekitted, lunch was a toasted tuna in tomato and onion toastie with TWO cheese and the HK-style milk tea I redeemed from Lucky Cafe! I've been having a powdered packet once each Thursday but fresh is best!
- Catherine's taking me to book club tonight!
- Toms: Jane's minding me from 9:30am till 2pm. Alas that holidays end and I resume blasted physio for another year. *sigh*
- Unsure will the OT come toms arvo?
- Anyways, hopefully bbl tonight else wishing everyone a smashing end to the week toms!
