saturday post

good evening! em was hard at work today, plodding approx. 1712 steps. sorry, it's not totally adequate; my pedometer somehow died on me, and PIG mum kindly helped me roughly approximate how many steps i would have hobbled. anyhow, let's get started on the spotty points :P for today!
-em grabbed at the chance to be a happy pig this morning; she and dear bear bear snored until PIG mum came home from work! :P
-so PIG mum dug me up, got me kitted, then made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of thursday's post to see what i REALLY want to type, but have unfortunately been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><) me walk out to the gobbling :P table.
-brunch was two minute noodles with assorted meats and vegies, washed down with a glass of plain milk.
-i read my battleaxe novel for awhile, until vincent the physio came. >< first session: PT. ><
-left arm reachy exercises, right arm reachy exercises, loads and loads and LOADS of walking without my walking stick, and 2 laps with it.
-once i sat back down, susan kindly brought me a glass of water to drink, before she Forced me to walk to the laundry for a shower. she also forced me to dak myself - i complied.
-a nice hot shower - no hairwash today. and good to hear i've got no spots! like, susan can feel them, but she can't see any.
-i got dried, cremed, bandaged, and redressed. susan handed me my stick and Forced me to walk back out to the dining table.
-arvo tea: a cup of lan choo's choice small leaf sweetened with 2 teaspoonfuls of honey, and a toasted cheese - poo poo, only once slice, so it was ENTIRELY too thin. >< and ham sandwhich, cut up into 4 squares. susan also kindly shared with me two of her small rice crisps, lime and chilli flavoured, so a bit too hot for me, really. >-susan forced me to do approx. 15mins worth of left hand exercises.
-at 5pm, she Forced me to walk over to the piano. my right hand supported my left hand in thunking out twinkle twinkle 3 times, then it played every major, minor, melodic minor and chromatic scale. susan had a play too - she can play the first movement of fur elise!
-at 6:30 or thereabouts, susan Forced me to walk to the loo, also forcing me to dak myself- i complied. actually, i did a stinky unspeakable and wiped myself too, b4 susan came, Forced me to walk over to wash my right hand - but kindly helped me dry it, then Forced me to walk back to the dining room.
-not really sure what i did wrong, but she got a bit shirty with me and called PIG mum downstairs, who yelled at me. apparently, it's a sin to say to someone, "my/your life sucks. get used to it."?
-anyways, susan did end up staying until 7pm, trouncing me 3-0 in connect four. she'll be back toms.
-dinner tonight: rice, lotsa wombok and some fried slapper. thanks to dear dad who poured me a glass of milk to wash it all down.
-oh, almost forgot. thanks also to susan who kindly poured me a mug of orange juice around 6pm.

-i chatted to kwany, who's going t take part in some teacher's strike thing soon! tues or thurs, i think it was. he also kindly fed me 2 little gummy bear lollies, and proceeded to stick them all over his face (i chose to just eat mine :P).
-each group shared what they had cooked/bought, and after saying grace for the food, letty, joshels (he got me a chair) and boris (he's a 2nd year physio student now! coz he did two yrs of science first) helped me stagger/limp/hobble out to the eating area.
-letty kindly fetched me a plate of food. so, i had: a little chunk of sushi, some pastry thing with fruit and cream, and 2 cups of fruit punch. i also had a chat with tina, mikey and joey. actually, uncle calvin came to tap me on the back when he arrived to pick up joey!
-dad came for me, and Forced me to walk back to the car. i remembered not to hit the hazard light - beats me, but he gets seriously pissed off if i hit the hazard lights on for one blink.
-he tootled us home. the usual routine, then i hit the sack, cuddled up to my darling bear bear, and after a prayer/chat (dunno why PIG mum insists that i can only chat to him, but never pray) to percy the angel/saint, we snored our heads off. :P goodnite!

friday post

good afternoon! including hydro, em was hard at work today plodding 1968 steps. there'll definitely be more tonight, but i'll prolly just have to add them to tomorrow's total. anyways, PIG mum's just gonna eye gloop me now :P and she's also forced my left hand to hold onto the easter bunny that karen gave me, and stick my left arm on that nice beanbag thing that aunty june (she's the one who gave me the mickey and minnie PJ's) made for me. originally, i had just rested it in my lap, so that it wasn't pulling my shoulder or anything, but PIG mum didn't like that position. oh well, no biggie.anyhow, let's hurry up and get started on the spotty points for today! coz if i have time, i wanna get my weekly naruto fix! :P

-the stupid lift must've suffered complications after laringytis (sp?)! so judith put me on a showerchair and wheeled me in.
-hydro today: walking (oh yeah - judith stuck KAB on my silly left ankle first) forwards and sideways, squatting, some left arm and left leg work, just floating on my back and kicking, plus two of my favourite head dunks :P at the end. oh, and i even tried 2 rolls in the water! i'll be doing somersaults in no time, i reckon :P
-judith and PIG mum winched me out on the manual hoist, and PIG mum rolled me in for a warm hosing down. i should count myself lucky, any wash given to me by PIG mum are barely lukewarm at the best
-i went for a tinkle afterwards, which turned out to be a stinky unspeakable, so much thanks to PIG mum who helped me wipe.
-i got dried, rekitted, and had a brief chat to some old ladies who had just wandered in for hydro as well.
-dear dad came to pick us up! so he and PIG mum made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the top of yesterday's post to see what i REALLY want to type, but have sadly been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><) me walk back to the car.
-dad decided that he wanted yum cha for lunch, so that's my second, and final, yum cha for the month ( i told dad that i would have to consent to 2 yum cha sessions per month). he tootled us to the manor.

-no surprise here - PIG mum HEAVILY restricted poor em in what she could and couldn't eat. like, when i asked for a bit of sweet sauce for my chunk of food, she snapped no, saying that there was already soya sauce. aii... >< guess i'll just have to learn to be content with what i can and can't get.
-time to go, parents made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the top of yesterday's post to see what i REALLY want to type, but have sadly been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><) me walk back out to the car. we saw aunty katie and uncle phillip!
-dear dad tootled us home, still listening to westlife's unbreakable volume 1. for whatever reason, dad and PIG mum spoke to each other at the TOP OF THEIR LUNGS :P so i was gonna flick the volume up a couple, only to have dad quickly put his hand over the controls, preventing me. oh well, we were already at allan cres. by then.

and vincent the physio's coming back toms. >< ai ... oh well, he already stayed away when the rellies were here. i was hoping for just one more day free of him, but i guess that's just not going to be. oh well. :(

thursday post

heylo! no plodding total from me yet today ... poor em still has a dentist appointment to srvive. >< anyways, let's just plop straight into it!
-em was very happy when karry poked me awake early in the morning to say goodbye. so i kissed them all goodbye; second aunty reminded me to be good, and first aunty promised me that if my stupid legs can carry me back to HK at the end of the year, she'd even come to pick me up from the airport! so after i used the bedpot once more, i cuddled my darling bear bear and we snored our heads off :P till 9am.
-hey, almost forgot - it's a thursday, so i'm going to type everything out once:
-whenever i had to walk, i used to type that PIG mum FORCED :( me to. when she forbid me from putting it all in capitals, i used Forced until she decided that the entire word offended her and banned it entirely. so i switched to the word 'contort', until PIG mum decided that this word offended her sensibilities also, and banned it as well, saying that henceforth, i could only use the word 'made'. so i complied, using the word MADE until she put her foot down again and stipulated that it ALL had to be in lowercase *sigh* what choice do i have but than comply? only, i said PIG mum 'gleefully made' me walk, until charlsy left me a comment on this blog and i could only use made itself, no adverbs preceding it or anything. no idea why i listen to him , afterall, it's MY blog, but i guess i follow his order coz i have heaps and heaps of respect for him as a friend. and, regarding last night:
1. PIG mum made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of today's post to read what i REALLY want to type, but have sadly been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><) me walk from the computer to the kitchen benchtop for my nightly half a glass of milk. i said goodnite to all the rellies, reminding them to come say bye to me before they left toms morning.
2. PIG mum made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of today's post to read what i REALLY want to type, but have sadly been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><)me walk back to the bathroom.
3. i was forced to stand to brush my teeth, and after my right hand took the initial pre-brush rinse, PIG mum forced my left hand to rinse with my right hand 3x as the after-brush rinses. i'm careful now to take big big gulps when this is happening, to comply with PIG mum's demands that i use at least half the cup.
4. after flossing (apparently, it is also a GREAT big sin to lean against the wash basin when doing that o_O) and washing both hands, PIG mum made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of today's post to read what i REALLY want to type, but have sadly been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><)
-off now to see the dentist! fingers crossed for no injections please! time is now ... 3:16pm.
-good evening! time is now ... 9:38pm, and my final plodding total for thursday now stands at 3296. and, luckily, no injections! :P
-ai. PIG mum says if i can't sit up straight enough, she'll only gimmee 10mins to blog, but if i can sit up straight as she demands, she'll gimmee 20. *sigh* oh well, guess i'll just have to take what i can get, and just be satisfied with everything else.
-what was worth mentioning: thanks to karen, i got the perfect arvo tea! a toasted cheese - 2 slices, thanks karen! - ham and mayo sandwhich, cut into 3 rectangles. and a cup of tea, sweetened with 2 teaspoonfuls of honey.
-a new record here - tonight, the parents forced em to sit up straight, no leaning back (i was on the piano stool, so no back-rest, anyway) then standing, no holding onto anything, all weight to the left, for a whopping 15mins 45 secs! you're just gonna have to believe me on that, as i counted in my head. see, dad for whatever reason, forbade me from counting out aloud.
-anyways, i have hydro toms - hope it goes well! and i'm not really sure about what's happening with UF toms night ; see, clo has already rang PIG mum and told her i wouldn't be able to participate in the cooking activities, and therefore just to come to UF at 8:50? or sth like that, to share in the meal. but, i don't think the parents want me to go. but i want to go, pleaseeeeeeeeee! well, we'll see how it turns out. fingers, toes and all other appendages crossed!
-lol, tonight, the parents and i watched 20 to 1. the topic was hollywood's hottest hunks, and coming up trumps - hugh jackman. which reminds me, i want to go see the new wolverine movie! oh, and the new star trek one, too. must remember to email uncle slam toms and ask him if he'll watch it with me.
-last thing: uncle rang dad from the airport, just to let us know that they're all home safe. :)

-dear dad tootled us off, listening to sth.
-we arrived at the PA, and PIG mum made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of friday's post to see what i REALLY want to type, but have unfortunately been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><) me walk all the way in. we saw habib on the way in! again,i told him how much i missed his morning tea, and agin, he told me that i was welcome to pop into BIRU anytime and he'd make me a cuppa.
-so, physio with dom dom started at 9am. she stuck a walkbelt on me (phew!) and we did lotsa mat work. rolling (em's dizzy now ><) kneeling etc. we also went walking on some rollator thingy (i'll haveta ask PIG mum what it was called)thanks mum, it's called an easy walker.
-habib came with morning tea! so white and two equal for me, plus 2 bikkies - PIG mum stole one, of course. i don't have the right to reuse her. and i got the chance to practise my algerian, too :P (i can say 'thank-you'!)
-dom dom handed me back to PIG mum at 10pm. i told her i needed the bathroom, so she made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of friday's post to see what i REALLY want to type, but have unfortunately been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><)me walk to the loo, forced me to dak myself, forced me to pull up my own trousers after a tinkle, made(PLEASE! -we watched cousin karry's skydiving DVD! wow, she's so brave! i would never,and i mean NEVER try such a thing! em is scared of heights ><
-PIG mum took em once more to the loo (no guesses as to who did the dakking and un-dakking) then made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of friday's post to see what i REALLY want to type, but have unfortunately been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><) me walk to the car. i got uncle to sit in the back seat! so i've finally been in the same car as him!
-dear dad tootled us off to southbank, listening to some chinese woman.
-i was immensely relieved/grateful when i heard dad popping open the boot to get sparkless out, and he, i, cousin karry and uncle william all took turns at wheeling me, PIG mum grabbing every opportunity to force me up and walking.
-we went on the wheel of brisbane! mum was super-lucky and got a free ride coz she was my carer!the ride was awesome; of course, poor PIG mum spent the entire ride freaking out coz we were up so high. :P
-time to go home, parents made (PLEASE! GO NOW! to the beginning of friday's post to see what i REALLY want to type, but have unfortunately been TOO HEAVILY CENSORED by PIG mum. ><)me walk back to the car. uncle and first aunty tumbled in, and after communicating via the walkie-talkies, we went to 'dong gei' (english name vietnam corner) for arvo tea.

anyways, what happened this arvo ...
-PIG mum rocked for sth - shopping? and amanda made me arvo tea - a cheese - yay, thanks amanda! 2 slices! so this week has been satisfied! - and ham sandwhich, cut into 4 squares, and a cup of tea, sweetened with a single spoonful of honey.
-amanda Forced me to walk to the bathroom, where she got me kitted for hydro.
-amanda Forced me to walk to barry, where she tootled us off to hydro, listening to B105.
-amanda Forced me to walk inside. the lift was still sick with larygnitis (sp?) so judith put the KAB onto me and threw me into the water! o_O well, that's what amanda suggested :p nah, she wheeled me down in the showerchair, and i stumbled down the stairs myself.
-hydro today - walking forwards and sideways, left arm work, squatting, plus two of my favorite head dunks at the end! :p
- amanda and judith gave me the manual lift out, and amanda wheeled me in for a nice almost-hot shower - obviously, hairwash today.
-i drip dried, went for a tinkle, got creamed and redressed, then amanda Forced me to walk back to barry.
-she tootled us off to bellas shopping town, where she grabbed a chocolate milk for each of us.
-back home, amanda Forced me to walk in. i said my byes, thanks and see you next weeks (parents told her not to come toms, and she's busy on friday) to her. then i did a stinky unspeakable, so much thanks to PIG mum who helped me wipe. then she made (PLEASE! monday post

good afternoon! em plodded 2893 steps today. righteo, let's leap straight into the spotty points :P for today - i want to be done by the time amanda gets here!
-em was originally proud of herself that she had manaed to swing herself over once to use the pot without killing herself!but then suddenly ... *a knock on the door ... and first aunty walks in!* >< me: "eep! ><" first aunty:"oh, sorry em, i was just cooking breafast and just wondered if you wanted your porridge sweet or savoury." so i told her sweet, please, she left, i swung myself back to bed and cuddled my darling bear bear for a bit more shut-eye.

-amanda-jane came for me, walkbelt at the ready, so she Forced me to walk in. actually, we did some timed walking test with anne first
-reaching exercises, standing exercises, and lotsa walking along the parallel bars. we did another timed walking test to finish off with, then i said my thanks and byes. it's their last time on thurs! anyways, parents made (PLEASE! and tonight ought to be fun! dad's invited the whole kwok family over for a BBQ! i wonder how much (actually, i should be saying, how LITTLE ><) PIG mum will allow me to eat ...
lastly, hopefully physio at the PA toms goes well, too! fingers crossed for some morning tea, definitely!
