friday post2

good afternoon! the spam count for this week's seventy-one, TWFT topic's "what's good for the goose (4) and em's been hard @ work plodding approx. 2027steps today. anyways, today's events?
-thanks to PIG mum who helped me once to the loo this morning.
-sorry, i've forgotten what breakfast was ... ohh! two hotcakes from maccas! with a dab of butter and (literally) one drop of syrup.
-we caught a taxi to the jetty/wharf and boarded a ferry for cheung chau. thanks to dad who bought me the south china morning post to read; PIG mum nicked a page to read also.
-once @ cheung chau, so began my long ascent up the stairs. >< i'm pretty buggered, now...
-some pastor lead us in singing 'amazing grace' for dearest grandmother. the first verse only. useless me blubbered my eyes out ... but silently, of course.
-we'd brought up flowers to decorate dearest grandma's grave, era held a bunch, and when ela screamed that she had to hold them too, era taught ela to "open wide" and popped the bouquet in. actually, ela fretted that she wanted to try holding them herself, so era gently released her grip, and ela proudly waved the flowers as a tribute to grandma.
-time to leave, i kissed and dropped in one of the C&MA badges that the pastor had given me for grandma to wear up in heave. then i kissed the box containing dearest grandma's ashes good-bye, before watching the worker seal her up. i fretted to PIG mum, "but what if grandma can't stand being closed in/up?" to which PIG mum assured me, "grandma's in heaven now. she's not here anymore."
-thanks to dad who lifted me up briefly for one second so i could touch grandma's gravestone goodbye.
-thus ended grandma's farewell. i sincerely thanked the pastor and the funeral guy with the man-boobs (if i hadn't seen them, i'd still think he/she's male!)then began the long descent down cheung chau.
-we stopped @ this chinese eatery for lunch. @ first, i didn't wanna eat there, coz all the chairs were back-rest-less, but the owner immediately assured me she'd get me one with a backrest. i think she just ran sideways, nextdoor and stole one. :P
-lunch was approx. 1.5 bowls of rice, some yummy sweet and sour pork and pineapple pieces, some tofu ad lotsa kailan. much thanks to uncle fung who went somewhere and brought me back one small bottle of weak milk tea.
-we caught a bus back to aunty lai's flat.
-PIG mum gave me a shower - i washed my hair today.
-dried and rekitted, i plopped online and PIG mum went for her own shower.
-dad's having his own shower now.
-and tonight, dad's taking me out to tiger b's one month old celebration!PIG mum's out partying with her old nurse mates, and aunty lai's going to church for some meeting. anyways, doubt i'll get to come back online after i get home from dinner tonight, so hope everyone has a smashing weekend!
cheers,
em. ^^
