Good afternoon! Firstly, today I've been hard @ work plodding 3942 steps; secondly, John Piper's daily devotional topic from last night's 'Authentic Vs. Phony Faith'; thirdly, TWFT topic's 'The Right Balance' and fourthly, Our Daily Bread's devotional topic's 'Impromptu Praise'. Anyways, events for today?
- Yay, 4th consecutive awesome sleep last night! Nature didn't call until 7:35am, and after one pot :P trip, I spend ten minutes beginning a mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel, asking him please to help me with the patience, perseverance, strength and endurance I need to get through today with, giving PIG mum all the pleasure, all the satisfaction and just suffering for her whenever she decided that only she can be happy and/or satisfied. It doesn't sound very fair, but she's taught me through her actions, if not through her words, that it's enough she's happy and/or satisfied, and I guess whenever that happens, I've just got to grit my teeth and endure. >< *sigh*
- Pijum, Pearl and I happily cuddle and snore until around 9am, when nature calls again, about the same time when PIG mum begins her noisy a-THUMPING around upstairs. Soon, she's let herself into my room to hit me with the eye goo and help me exceedingly slightly with not only the bra strap but the tee (since dearest dad's @ home) before leaving me to get myself mostly independently kitted, which I comply with after giving myself fifteen more minutes first.
- PIG mum comes back to finish with only Elf's AFO and both laces before I let her gleefully FORCE :( me walk over to the bathroom and brush teeth. That done, I sit over the loo for one tinkle, wash and dry Era and then head out to the gobbling :P table with Lena, who arrived @ 10am.
- Breakfast is two dry (no honey) Weet-Bix with a very light scattering of Minus :P and the yummier (flaky) bird food (what Dr. Ku calls All-Bran XD), all my usual drugs :P and one full mug of water. Over breakfast, I spent another ten minutes continuing my mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel, asking him please to help me get through today okay. I find it's exceedingly important to constantly remind the cruel and unfaithful God that He has no bearing on my good day whatsoever, that I am perfectly capable of having a good day without Him, despite Him and apart from Him, because my good day's dependent on my own good attitude. If only God would remember that ... *sigh* He created the phrase 'live and let live', so why the heck can't He lemme live the free, independent life that I deserve? Okay, fair enough, we all only deserve death because of Him, but why can't He just lemme live the life that nearly everyone else gets to live?? *sigh*
- After breakfast, I sit once more over the loo. There, I do a stinky unspeakable, also leaning fully against the side rail and finishing my mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel. Remember, however the cruel and unfaithful God tries to make my day bad for me, I won't let that affect me because my good day has NOTHING to do with Him; I'm perfectly capable of having a good day without Him, despite Him and apart from Him. See, my good day's dependent on my own good attitude!
After physio, Lena tootled us off to Pinelands Plaza, grabbed a trolley for us and we bought groceries @ Coles before I bought my once-weekly crackling pork bahn mi from Aunty Lisa.
Back home I took a nice hot shower - hairwash today. Also thanks to Lena who rinsed out my hair for me, thus freeing Era to hold my stupid right eye tightly shut.
Dried, creamed and rekitted, lunch was my delicious crackling pork bahn mi plus one big mug of white tea; just a pity that Lena couldn't find any sugar!
At 2pm I signed her off with my thanks and byes. Lena's back toms arvo and taking me to table tennis!
I used the loo for one tinkle before plopping online. Once my most important two hours of the day are up, I'll use the loo for another tinkle and then head down to the gobbling :P table and read until Nisha arrives and takes me to Toastmasters @ 5:30pm. I'm timekeeper tonight and I hear that someone has brought supper! :D
Looking forward to getting dinner from Maccas, never mind that UnHappy Meals were whaT i HAD SURELY LIKE three decades AGO!! >< *sigh*
Toms: fingers crossed PIG mum helps me up and takes me for walkies somewhere, else expect a super-pissy plodding total from me.
Will surely have lunch @ home before Lena takes me to play table tennis @ 2pm; let there be cake! XD
