Good afternoon! Firstly, today I've been hard @ work plodding 2683 steps (ha, I'm over 2.5 grand XD); secondly, John Piper's daily devotional topic from last night's 'How To Repay God'; thirdly, TWFT topic's "Do Itt In Christ's Strength, Not Your Own" and fourthly, Our Daily Bread's devotional topic's 'Remaining In Jesus'. Anyways, events for today?
- Yay, 3rd consecutive awesome sleep last night! Like the past two nights, nature didn't call until 7:05am and after one poot :P trip, I spend ten minutes beginning a mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel, asking him please to help me with the patience, perseverance, strength and endurance I need to get through today with, giving PIG mum all the pleasure, all the satisfaction and just suffering for her whenever she decided that only she can be happy and/or satisfied. It doesn't sound very fair, but she's taught me through her actions, if not through her words, that it's enough she's happy and/or satisfied, and I guess whenever that happens, I've just got to grit my teeth and endure. >< *sigh* Actually, since PIG mum’s overseas holidaying, I’m using the time to recharge my mental batteries and prepare for another year with her @ the helm! XD
- Dad's single thump upstairs later wakes me for another pot :P trip; soon, he's let himself into my room to gimme some eye goo and lay the crop top beside the pillow, which I immediately struggle into (it took three attempts today but phew I managed it)) before giving myself fifteen more minutes.
- Dad returns to finish with my footwear before I head over to the bathroom and brush teeth. That done I sit over the loo for one tinkle, wash and dry Era and then walk myself slowly and safely out to the gobbling :P table, rising above the cruel and unfaithful God’s near-overwhelming hatred and not letting him push me over.
- Breakfast is three dry (no honey) Weet-Bix with half a big mug of water, one slice of dry (unbuttered) toast lightly spread with some avocado and all my usual drugs :P. Over breakfast, I spent another ten minutes continuing my mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel, asking him please to help me get through today okay. I find it's exceedingly important to constantly remind the cruel and unfaithful God that He has no bearing on my good day whatsoever, that I am perfectly capable of having a good day without Him, despite Him and apart from Him, because my good day's dependent on my own good attitude. If only God would remember that ... *sigh* He created the phrase 'live and let live', so why the heck can't He lemme live the free, independent life that I deserve? Okay, fair enough, we all only deserve death because of Him, but why can't He just lemme live the life that nearly everyone else gets to live?? *sigh*
- After breakfast, I walk myself slowly and safely back to the toilet, again rising above the cruel and unfaithful God’s near-overwhelming hatred and not letting him push me over. There, I do a stinky unspeakable, also leaning fully against the side rail and finishing my mostly silent chat to Percy the saint/angel. Remember, however the cruel and unfaithful God tries to make my day bad for me, I won't let that affect me because my good day has NOTHING to do with Him; I'm perfectly capable of having a good day without Him, despite Him and apart from Him. See, my good day's dependent on my own good attitude!
- After washing and drying Era, I sat outside my room and waited for dearest dad to get ready. When he was good to go, I climbed into the backseat of the car and buckled my own seatbelt.
- Dad tootled us off to the church where Mr. Hall's funeral was being held; 'twas somewhere near the Princess Alexandra hospital?
- Dad parked on the road somewhere and we were walking to the church where the funeral was being held when suddenly Mr. Pickard hailed me! He's not teaching anymore but works with his dad doing locksmith stuff! Finally met Mrs. Alex~
- Before the servive started dad took me to the loo. Originally I hadn't needed to go, but when people started filing into the church I decided I'd better go. Dad got up me, saying it'd start without me but phew, we were inside and seated before the funeral started.
- Can't remember who the pastor dude that officiated was, but he had us standing for prayers and hymns, etc. I was fine since the pews were narrow and I could brace the back of my knees against the front of the pew behind me.
- Afterwards, we all walked outside and then just stood around chatting until dad pointed me back @ the car (I went down those seven steps) and tootled us next door to the Easts Leagues club.
- Perhaps this will haveta count for my one meal out while PIG mum's away! Waiters brought platters of finger food and we just munched away. Didn't buy a drink from the bar; dad and I just drank iced water. Met another student one decade my junior; Fr. Paul also wandered around for a chat~
- Around 1:05pm dad had enough and said to finish eating; let's go. On the way out I said byr to several CC teachers and Mrs. Alkex too~
- Back home, I changed my pad, sat over the loo for two tinkles, washed and dried Era and then walked myself slowly and safely online, always rising above the cruel and unfaithful God’s near-overwhelming hatred and not letting him push me over.
- Tanje was minding me 4-6 but someone rang and said some Staffing Options person will come instead?
- Looking forward to reading the Robin Hobb for one hour and fingers crossed I can watch the 6pm news bulletin (Nine's) for the 152ND time!
- Toms: think I'm seeing Ray for some acupuncture and massage toms morning? Dad will prolly go do his own thing and come pick me back up afterwards; will be nice to actually have a chat with Ray like I did last week; usually, it's just PIG mum who yaps! XD
- Will doubtless come home for lunch before Kelly comes @ 1:15pm and takes me to the NAB for physio with Dana/Declan. She'll see me home and showered before leaving @ 5pm.
- Thirty minutes after that, Nisha's taking me to Toastmasters! Looking forward to getting some Maccas for Maccas afterwards; never mind that Unhappy Meals were what I ate surely @ least TWO DECADES ago!!
- Anyways, hopefully bbl, else hope everyone has a smashing day toms!
Cheers,
Em. ^^
